Camillo Genesi received his Dr. Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005. and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2010 from the University of Pavia. During his research activities, his fields of interest were power system optimization, electricity market restructuring, application of artificial intelligence to power system analysis problems, smart grid development and new control techniques of VSC-HVDC link and DFIGs for offshore wind applications. He was contract professor at University of Mantova for the years 2010, 2011 and 2012. From 2010 to 2015 he worked at Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering as contract researcher in the fields of renewable sources and developement of new models for transmission grid management. These last activities have been conducted for CESI S.p.A. From 2009 he continues his activities on electrical and thermal power plant designing.
Main area of activity in R2M:
Camillo works in R2M as smart grid models developer especially in MAS2TERING project. Furthermore he provides his knowledge on energy power systems designing in the R2M service activities.
