Daniele Bortoluzzi is a registered Professional Civil Engineer. In October 2011 he won a PhD scholarship at University of Pavia, where, in December 2014, he received the Doctoral Degree in Civil Engineering. His fields of research include among the others: Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of large structures (bridges, tall buildings and so on), assessment/mitigation of vibrations in footbridges (comfort analysis) and Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing process analysis and numerical simulation; Finite Element Analysis and optimization). His skills include finite element analysis (FEA), structural analysis and design (RC, steel, wood) by using different commercial software packages and “home-made” codes for data analysis and treatment.
Main area of activity in R2M:
Daniele is the R2M Engineering Team Leader. He is the Project Manager of Built2Spec project and is also involved in ToMax project. Daniele is also involved in the R2M civil engineering services providing consulting about regarding structural design, seismic safety, structural health monitoring and drone inspections of large infrastructure (bridges, dams,…). He is looking for new opportunities in the field of civil engineering consulting.
