Gianluca Signore is a registered Professional Engineer in the field of Building Engineering and member of the Trento Engineers community. He graduated in Building Engineering/Architecture (Bachelor EU) at the University of Trento. He attended Erasmus mobility program at the Universidad de Granada in the faculties ETS de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos and ETS de Arquitectura. He worked at Fairbanks SLP Arquitectos studio in Madrid in 2012, participating in the “EDEA Renov” energy retrofit project of San Lázaro’s district in Mérida (Spain) and providing advice on issues related to environmental sustainability for design competitions. He qualified as a LEED ® AP O+M in September 2013. Later he worked, until march 2016, at LEEDme, the green building division of Strategie Srl in Trento, managing LEED projects and providing consultancy to design studios and construction companies in the energy and environmental aspects related to sustainable design and LEED rating system. At R2M he brings his field experience into EU research, deepens R2M’s LEED consulting expertise, and acts as a trainer, expert and consultant on the IES VE simulation environment.
Main area of activity in R2M:
Gianluca is part of the Energy & Sustainability division and, as LEED Expert and Commissioning Agent, was involved in the LEED Core & Shell Certification of the new Ernst & Young Headquarter in Milan and in the LEED pre-assessment of the new TIM Headquarter in Rome. He provides training for the IES Virtual Environment building performance simulation and he oversees the reselling of this software in the Italian market.He is also involved in the HORIZON 2020 European Projects HIT2GAP, 4RinEU, and PVSites.
