Michele Vece is a registered Professional Civil Engineer. In October 2013, he won a PhD scholarship at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture from University of Pavia and he received the Doctoral Degree in December 2016. His fields of research include among the others: Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of large structures and footbridges, GPS tracking and GIS (Geographical Information System) Mapping. His skills also include analysis and design of steel, reinforced concrete, and wood structures in line with finite element analysis (FEA). From June 2017, he is a registered UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) operator of ENAC.
Main areas of activity in R2M:
Michele is a member of the Engineering Team and he is responsible for project developing on H2020 (INNOQUA and Built2Spec) European funded projects. He is involved in the R2M civil engineering services providing consulting on structural design, health monitoring and UAV (drone) inspections of large infrastructures.
