With a PhD in Mathematics (University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, 2004) and an advanced master in Energy System Optimisation (Mines ParisTech, 2005), Sophie started her career in the energy sector at the French Energy Regulator (CRE) where she specialized in electricity and gas cross-border market designs. In 2012, she joined the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nice Côte d’Azur to structure the local energy cluster. In 2013, she joined DOWEL MANAGEMENT (former TECHNOFI) to lead energy-related projects and to develop the company business. In particular, she conducted electricity market design studies (IEE project MARKET4RES), led R&D dissemination and exploitation activities (FP7 project GARPUR), coordinated public consultations (H2020 service contract GRID+STORAGE) and coordinated the technical activities of the H2020 project INTENSYS4EU supporting ETIP SNET (European Technology & Innovation Platform Smart Networks for Energy Transition) and BRIDGE (Cooperation group of Smart Grids and Energy Storage H2020 projects). She also coordinated proposal writing for H2020 and CEF projects. In 2018, she joined R2M France in order to lead research and innovation projects and to develop the company business.
Main area of activity in R2M:
Sophie is involved in different EU-funded projects in the energy sector and is developing consulting activities for the French branch of the company.
