Alicia Martínez
Innovation Consultant
Alicia is an Innovation Consultant at R2M. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Zaragoza, a master’s degree in Environmental Management, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from San Jorge University. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Circular Economy and Sustainability at the International University of Valencia.
With 18 years of research experience, she specializes in topics critical to the future: Circular Economy, Sustainability, Logistics, Supply Chain, Energy, and Materials. She has worked as a researcher and professor internationally at various European research centers and universities. She has 10 years of experience participating in R&D&I projects, with a focus on research in funded projects as well as the development, implementation, and strategic management of European proposals (H2020 and Horizon Europe).
At R2M, she works on the implementation and management of European projects, coordinating consortia and drafting proposals. Her goal is to open new lines of research in areas critical to industry and Europe, such as the circular economy and sustainability, through her holistic approach to the value chain, logistics, and supply chain.
She loves to travel, explore, and scuba dive. If she goes missing, you’ll find her on a beach with her dog. If she’s at home, she’ll be reading or painting. And to unwind after a long day, she enjoys sports, yoga, and meditation.

Innovation Area Proposal Writing (sustainable energy systems, socially just transitions and tech innovation); projects focused on Energy communities, Electric Mobility (FLOW, BECKON)
