Lucas Porto Echave-Susteaeta

Lucas Porto currently works at R2M solution as Energy Management System’s Researcher. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in physics from the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain, 2017). Lucas also holds a Physics Bachalor’s and a MSc in Resource Management and Sustainability from Syddanks Universitet (Denmark, 2021), where he collaborated full-time during a year with Atelier, Positive Energy Districts project in energy modelling and battery optimisation for the reduction of CO2 emissions (Amsterdam, 2021). Previous consulting experience grants him proficiency in both SAS and SQL developmen.
With ample experience in mathematical model development and system connections, Lucas has participated in numerous Spanish innovation projects, both as technical developer and technical manager, in charge of new business model development of mathematical implementation, with a focus on state-of-the-art application of spanish regulation involving energy sharing, peer-to-peer markets, battery use and flexibility.
He has participated in multiple EU projects including Synergy in the development of a tool for PV sizing and PPA prizing of Energy Communities, The LIGHTNESS project, being in charge of smart meter deployment and data flow implementation, in De Risk, where he is pilot leader and is in charge of user webapp development and technical imlementation and GENTE, as business development researcher.
