Motivation & Impact
DHC SwEEtch is part of a series of innovative projects on local energy planning R2M is involved in. District heating and cooling networks are consolidated solutions for the decarbonization of local communities and are increasingly at the center of political and technical debate, also thanks to the recent development of European directives, which recognize their strategic importance and establish efficiency criteria. With this project, R2M therefore expands its knowledge in the field of energy planning and proposes itself to local communities as an experienced consultant also in the field of thermal networks.
Role of R2M
R2M is project coordinator, therefore being responsible for the entire project effectiveness towards the European Commission. R2M also defines the overall methodology for decarbonizing thermal networks and performs simulations and financial analysis on selected case studies.
