Sara Momi

EU Proposals and Projects Manager – Innovation Division
Sara has been working in the field of EU-funded projects and EU policies as business developer, proposal and project manager since 2009. She has acquired expertise mainly in the renewable energy field (energy efficiency, solar thermal, biomass valorisation, bioenergy and bioeconomy) by working on several EU research projects, being in charge of dissemination and exploitation of results (including the organization of experts’ engagement activities and events), as well as of project coordination, administrative and financial reporting. Thanks to her experiences in private and public entities, in Italy and abroad, Sara has been involved also in other Research and Innovation project domains, such as sustainable agriculture, circular economy, ICT and robotics, life sciences and smart materials. Sara has also been responsible for covering the full lifecycle of research projects, from identification of opportunities, through proposal drafting, to project execution and the delivery of expected results. Sara holds a MA degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Università di Trieste, a post degree in Management of international projects from Sapienza Università di Roma and Business School “Il Sole 24 Ore” and has been working on EU policy and project management since then.

Main area of activity in R2M:

Sara is in charge of executing and managing EPC RECAST, REACT, NESOI and Metabuilding Labs projects. She is also part of the R2M EU proposal-writing team, where she is involved in scouting funding opportunities and schema as well as writing proposals and supporting customers be engaged in new R&I proposals. Besides, she is dedicated on identifying results having innovation potential and support their market uptake.
